**My Photography Journey: From Beginner to Artist**
I picked up my first camera in 2017, and since then, photography has become my passion and my creative outlet. Whenever I had a moment, I'd grab my camera and experiment. For me, it was all about practice, practice, and more practice. Each click was a step forward, a chance to improve.
I didn’t just want to take good photos—I wanted to create something uniquely mine. So, I spent hours searching for new ideas, techniques to master, and ways to add my own twist. One of the best things I did was join a camera club. There, I got hands-on experience with studio equipment, models, and props, all while learning from others. It was invaluable—surrounded by people who were just as passionate about photography, I quickly got the hang of my camera and its settings. This, combined with hours of YouTube tutorials and plenty of trial and error, helped shape me into the photographer I am today.
After 6 years, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but there’s always more to learn. Photography is a constantly evolving art form, and I’m excited to keep growing.
These days, I take all kinds of photos: portraits, landscapes, product shots, weddings—each shoot an opportunity to explore something new. One thing that really helped me along the way was practicing using myself as a model. Setting up my camera on a tripod, using a wireless remote to trigger the shutter, and experimenting with different lighting and compositions gave me the freedom to test my skills before working with others.
I also invested in my own studio setup, which has become a favorite space of mine for shooting. There’s something magical about being able to create controlled environments and capture portraits that tell a story. But I don’t just limit myself to studio shots—I also love exploring new locations for on-location shoots, where natural light and surroundings add their own unique touch to my images.
For me, photography is more than just taking pictures—it’s about transforming moments into pieces of art. And, like many photographers, I find joy in turning raw images into something beautiful through editing.
Looking back on my journey, I’m amazed at how far I’ve come and how much more there is to explore. Photography isn't just a hobby for me; it’s a lifelong passion.
Below, I’ll be sharing a few of my favorite shots: an original image followed by the final edited result. Two of these are studio portraits, and one was taken on location. I hope you enjoy them!
Thanks so much for stopping by and reading my story. Stay tuned for more!
